In August 2023, Radisson Hotel Group revamped its onboarding program, introducing the "90-Day Welcome Journey to Becoming a Moment Maker." This initiative addresses gaps in traditional onboarding processes, such as lack of role-specific training, inconsistent support, and language barriers, to create an engaging, customized, and user-friendly experience for new hires.
The redesigned program incorporates a blended approach, combining online modules, on-the-job training, and live or virtual sessions. Notable features include:
A structured communication strategy supported the launch, including targeted emails, in-hotel collateral, and a masterclass for General Managers and HR teams, ensuring consistent messaging and implementation. The gamified platform’s environmental contribution planted over 2,000 trees, reinforcing Radisson’s sustainability goals.
The program has yielded impressive results, with over 2,200 completions since its launch. Over 50% of participants completed their training within the first week, and satisfaction scores averaged 4.64 out of 5. Feedback highlighted the program’s interactivity, relevance, and engaging format, with participants describing it as a “transformative onboarding experience.”
