It recognizes brands and operators — including hospitality groups, cruise lines, airlines, ... — that have successfully encapsulated the essence of hospitality on the move. Whether aboard a cruise ship, an aircraft, a train, or any other form of transportation, the concept must demonstrate a seamless blend of comfort, design, service, and storytelling. The winning initiative should offer guests a memorable, elevated journey, setting a new benchmark for mobile hospitality experiences.
The project:
Operated by JR Kyushu, Seven Stars in Kyushu offers multi-day journeys across Japan’s southern island.
The luxury train features 10 suites, with interiors crafted from fine woods and textiles selected for the train, combining traditional design with modern comfort. Routes include volcanic landscapes, coastal views, and historic towns, with curated off-train visits to artisans and chefs.
Designed by Don Design Associates, the train showcases Japanese craftsmanship and hospitality.
